Handmade Journals Using Recycled Materials.

Making Books is fun and it's even more fun when you don't have to spend money buying costly materials. I have been teaching this projects to public school children. I used cardboard instead of book board and scrap fabric from old clothes instead of book cloth. I got this blue fabric from goodwill store. They often have fabric for sale. Adding and paper is easy, I use recycled copy paper folded in half cut triangles on the two end and in middle. Then add string and glue the first and last page to the cover. The books are light weight and pretty sturdy. I'm using this book to write down my ideas for projects while I'm on the go.

  1. Very cool idea. I've wanted to try making books, but then I said to myself, "enough is enough." lol
