I bought these persimmon in the photo from Trader Joes but I'm very happy to see them everywhere. Fuyu Persimmon are cute as they are sweet. The texture is sort of like a plum tomato and the skin can be peeled or eaten. They are different from the heart shaped Hachiya variety which my tongue doesn't seem to like. If you are out and about and see these plump fruits pick some up. They only come into the market for a short time. I wonder how a persimmon pie would taste? What do you think! I guess I'm just thinking about Thanksgiving.
