Yes, It's possible to make whole wheat baguettes at home.

This is a great time to start firing up the oven and making your own bread from stratch.  Making your own bread is fun and will save you money.   Bread baking at home is also a great way to add more whole grains to your diet and skip all the unneccessary junk that's added to most commerical store bought bread to make it mold resistant and last a long time.  The basic bread ingredients consist of  flour, water and yeast.  These 3 ingredients are mixed and kneaded together by hand or machine to form a gluten rich dough. Gluten is a special type of protein that is naturally found in grains such as rye, wheat and barley.   One of my favorite books on this subject is Bread: A Baker's Book of Techniques and Recipes.  This book is a classic and makes a great companion to anyone interested in the art of bread baking.  There are lot's of other great books and resources on the internet.  I've been asked this question often,  When do you have time to make bread?   Well I don't make bread every week and since fresh bread last about 3 to 4 days.  I make a big batch of 2 or 3 loaves and freeze one while it's fresh.  Bread freezes very well.  You can slice up the whole loaf before freezing to make it easy for grabbing a piece for  toasting.  The aroma of fresh bread baking in the oven is worth all the kneading!
